No. 5/2548

Exemption of import duty for energy-saving machinery

In order to promote the efficient use of energy, by virtue of Section 16 and Section 28 of the Investment Promotion Act B.E. 2520, as amended by the Investment Promotion Act No.2 B.E.2534, the Board of Investment hereby repeals the Board of Investment Announcement No.10/2547 dated December 20, 2004 regarding exemption of import duty for machinery for energy saving, And for those promoted projects regardless of activities which received the import duty exemption privilege for machinery for energy saving as approved by the Minister of Energy. The machinery must be imported into Thailand within 2 years from the date approved and must be applied for import of machinery within December 30, 2009.
