Mandatory connection: 
[...] the electricity injected into the National Grid by all sources including the Solar PV system and injected at any level either through the system owned by EDC or through system owned by other licensees must be purchased by EDC only. --- For installation of Solar PV System to use electricity for its own consumption and synchronized with the Electricity Supply System of National Grid, in the first step, only Big Consumers (medium voltage consumers) and Bulk Consumers (high voltage consumers) are allowed to install Solar PV system and connect it to their own system and synchronize with the Electricity Supply System of National Grid, to provide the additional electricity source for their own consumption provided they comply and agree with the following conditions: Comply with the technical standard and safety conditions as defined in Articles 7 and 8 of this Regulation.
