Overall Summary: 
The Treaty on Accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was signed on October 10, 2014 and entered into force on January 2, 2015. According to provisions of the Treaty on EAEU, the freedom of movement of goods, services, capital and labor, as well as implementation of coordinated or united policy in various branches of economy is provided within the Union.

From the date of entry into force of the Treaty, the following shall be exempt from customs duties: [...] 3) goods imported into the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union for the construction and upgrade of a nuclear power plant in the Republic of Armenia and its operation throughout the warranty period under the List of goods imported into the customs territory of the Customs Union for the purpose of construction of a nuclear power plant and its operation throughout the warranty period, as approved by Decision No.9 of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission of March 19, 2012.
