Overall Summary: 
The Presidential Regulation No. 55/2019 on Accelerating Programs of Battery Electric Vehicles for Road Transportation aims at enabling battery-powered electric vehicles to be made and deployed in the country. The Regulation introduces fiscal and non-fiscal incentives for local manufacturers, and aims at expanding the charging infrastructure. MEMR Regulation No. 13/2020 on the Provision of Electric Charging Infrastructure for Battery Electric Vehicle was adopted to implement the Presidential Regulation No. 55/2019.

RE targets: 
a. for two wheeler and / or battery-based Electric Motor Vehicles (KBL) three levels of use of domestic components as follows: 1) Years 2019-2023, minimum Domestic Component Level (TKDN) 40% (forty percent); 2) years 2024 to 2025, minimum TKDN in the amount of 60% (sixty percent); and 3) 2026 onwards, minimum TKDN 80% (eighty percent), b. for four wheeler or more Battery Based KBL level of use of domestic components as following: 1) years 2019 to 2021, minimum TKDN 35% (thirty five percent); 2) 2022 to 2023, minimum TKDN in the amount of 40% (forty percent); 3) from 2024 to 2029, minimum TKDN in the amount of 60% (sixty percent); and 4) In 2030 onwards, minimum TKDN 80% (eighty percent).
