Overall Summary: 
The Malaysian Electricity Supply Industry 2.0 (MESI 2.0) reforms aim at liberalizing the generation to distribution components of the power industry in Peninsular Malaysia as well as to better promote the use of green energy in Malaysia. Key reforms include: Establishing hybrid generation market (honouring current PPA's and opening up for capacity and energy market); Sourcing of own fuel (coal and gas); Enabling Third Party access for transmission and distribution (T&D), etc.
