Energy environmental priorities: 
Tajikistan gives priority attention to ensuring energy security through the development and expansion of large, medium and small hydroelectric power plants. --- Given the geoeconomic and geopolitical trends of modern development, The Government of Tajikistan is considering further development of hydropower not only as a key tool for sustainable development, but also as a factor from which is largely dependent on safety and stability in the Central Asian region.
Energy Supply and Infrastructure
Energy supply priorities: 
The [National Development Strategy] NDS-2030 provides for the development of the country's electricity sector based on concept 10/10/10/10, which means: - an increase in the design capacity of the electric power systems up to 10 GW; - an increase in the annual export of electricity to neighboring countries up to 10 billion kWh; - ensuring the diversification of capacities of the country's electricity system by at least 10% (increase in the capacity of other energy sources, including, coal, oil, gas and other renewable energy sources); - reduction of electricity losses in the country up to 10%.
